A brief introduction to deep cleaning of freezer

I.Appearance and door body cleaning

2. Door Seal: as a key air-conditioning leakage gate, need quarterly depth cleaning. Remove the strip as a whole, soak in 84 disinfectant for 10 minutes, use a soft toothbrush to clean the slit, rinse with water and then dry naturally. Ensure that the strip is free from wrinkles during installation to avoid sealing failure.

 

Ⅱ .Clean the internal storage area

The interior of the freezer is a high-risk area for microbial propagation, and the principles of partition cleaning and structure maintenance should be followed.

1. Shelves and drawers: remove all removable parts, soak in 50 °C Warm Water + 2% detergent solution for 15 minutes, stubborn frosting can be scraped with a soft plastic shovel. Steel wire ball is forbidden in metal shelf, nano-sponge is recommended to avoid damaging oxide film.

2. Inner Wall and drainage system: using spiral wiping method, starting from the top of the refrigeration pipeline, clean down along the air circulation path, focusing on dealing with drainage holes and water trays. When the drain hole is blocked, use a syringe to inject 0.1% Sodium bicarbonate solution (5G baking soda + 500ml water) to dissolve the ice scale, and then rinse with clean water.

3. Defrosting in freezer: power off 8 hours in advance for natural defrosting, water-absorbent towel should be laid at the bottom; distance between blower and evaporator should be more than 20 cm for forced defrosting to prevent deformation of aluminum fin.

 

Ⅲ.Cleaning of refrigeration system and components

The refrigeration efficiency of the refrigerator depends on the cleanliness of the condenser and evaporator, and the performance of the refrigerator should be checked regularly.

1. Condenser cleaning: as the core of heat dissipation, back-hanging condenser should be cleaned once every six months. Use a soft brush or vacuum cleaner and clean along the direction of the fins to avoid scratching the copper pipe with the barbs. The bottom cooling condenser should be raised 10 cm to ensure the bottom is ventilated.

2. Evaporator and fan: after defrosting, gently wipe the evaporator surface with a dry cloth. Do not use sharp tools. Fan blade dust will lead to abnormal sound and efficiency decline, need to use cotton swabs dipped in alcohol cleaning piece by piece.

3. Compressor Cabin: every year need professional open cabin inspection, clean up the dust on the surface of the compressor, check the starting capacitor and refrigerant pressure.

 

Ⅳ.Details and treatment of hygienic dead angle

The cleaning blind area of refrigerators often becomes a breeding ground for bacteria, and a list-based screening mechanism needs to be established.

1. Lighting system: LED Lampshade to be used monthly dry dust removal cloth to avoid dust affecting the illumination. When the lamp tube breaks, the power should be cut off immediately to prevent the leakage of mercury vapor.

2. Temperature sensor: the probe should be kept naked, and should not be wrapped by plastic wrap or food materials, otherwise it will cause temperature measurement error ± 3 °C or more, and accelerate the deterioration of food materials.

3. Bottom sink: remove and clean it quarterly. Soak it in 0.1% Peracetic acid solution for 30 minutes to kill E. coli and other pathogenic bacteria.

 

V.Cleaning post-treatment and maintenance

After cleaning, the performance of the refrigerator should be improved through three steps of“Disinfection-test-optimization”.

1. Ozone disinfection: the use of 10 G/H ozone generator, closed space disinfection for 30 minutes, can kill 99% of the mold and bacillus. Ventilation for 1 hour after disinfection to avoid ozone residue.

2. Performance test: record compressor start-stop interval after power on, normal freezer should maintain 15 ~ 20 minutes/time operation cycle. The temperature of the freezer should be below -18 °C within 4 hours, otherwise the refrigerant leakage should be checked.

3. Odor removal and storage: activated carbon packs need to be regenerated by monthly exposure, or replaced with dioxidochlorine(.) Sustained-release gels. The principle of“Separation of raw and cooked, dry and wet partition” should be followed to avoid cross-contamination.
